Lifetime cyclist. Coach and guide. Believer that time outdoors on real trails is the best thing anyone can do with their time.
Chris has been riding mountain bikes his entire life and has spent years building and leading youth programs from the ground up — from sailing and hunting to mountain biking. He coached youth MTB through Wheel Fun, a structured after-school program, and has completed training in first aid and CPR.
He believes real physical challenge and time outdoors is what people of all ages need most to thrive. Juniper Trail is built on that same idea — small groups, real terrain, and a coach who genuinely loves the sport and wants to share it.
Every decision about how Juniper Trail runs comes back to three things — whether we're working with kids, adults, or mixed groups.
4–6 riders maximum. Not because we couldn't run more, but because real coaching requires real attention. Every rider gets individual feedback, not just supervision.
Skills learned in controlled environments don't always transfer to the trail. We teach on actual singletrack from day one so every rider builds confidence in the conditions they'll actually encounter.
The goal isn't just to teach mountain biking. It's to give every rider — young or old — a relationship with the outdoors that lasts. The kind that makes them want to keep coming back.
